Synopsis:

It is the story of the many civilizations that inhabited the Al-Ola region in Saudi Arabia, taking as reference what is stated in the Holy Qur'an. This documentary tries to investigate the origins of the people who lived in this region and whether it was Al-Anbat or Al-Thamud who carved their tombs in its mountains. It also questions the period of time that these people spent in these areas, which has according to archaeologists, extended from the 6th to the 2nd centuries B.C.

The first part of the documentary shows the rare monuments in the region, called al-Hijr in the Qur'an, and known today as Mada'en Saleh. It tries to answer the question whether this region was called after the prophet Saleh who lived in these lands. It also tries to reveal the nature of the constructions and the reason why the names engraved on the tombs were those of the women and not those of the men.

The second part of the documentary introduces ancient kingdoms that flourished in this region, particularly the kingdom of Lehyania that was established in the al-Khareeba area, near Al-Ola. The documentary shows magnificent details of the western mountains surrounding the region, such as Mount Elephant, Mount Pooling and The Human Face Rock, with unique pictures of the Islamic city that existed throughout the 6th Hegira century in al-Ola and how it had withstood the test of time.
