Synopsis:

More than two decades after the Islamic Revolution that swept Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini into power Iran is at crossroads. Its people and leaders are deeply divided over the country’s future. The revolution established an Islamic Republic where the interpretation of Islam, the sharing of political power, and the limits of public freedoms remain contentious and divisive issues. Following Khomeini's death, Iranian President Rafsanjani and his successor Mohammed Khatami tried to introduce reforms to the system but to no avail. This documentary tells the story of the complexities of Iran's domestic political situation since the 1979 revolution and poses questions about its future. Both known and unknown religious and political leaders who have played a role for the last quarter of a century are speaking their minds.
