This three hours documentary presents the history of the Socialist Arab Baath Party in Syria, Jordan, and Iraq.
In early forties, the Baath Party was born deriving its ideologies from a mixture of national and social ideologies, also from European revolutionary experiences to establishing a special model for unity, freedom, and socialism.
In Syria, the Baath was able to dominate the political scene within a short time, and after becoming the only party in the political arena, he was able to take hold of the power.
In Jordan, the Baath adopted a moderate course in dealing with the authority of King Hussein. As to Iraq, the Baath started from the bottom of the pyramid making its way up to the top of the political authority. For forty years, the Baath was the ruling party and the only political party in the country, allowing no other political participation.
The history of the Baath in Iraq was marked by bitter internal conflicts in addition to clashes with its Syrian wing and reciprocated conspiracies.
On the other hand, the Baath in Iraq has entered a whirlpool of external conflicts and lost a lot. In 2003, the American Forces overthrew the Iraqi regime and the party, but it did not take long before the Baath was able to reorganize itself and become a part of the violence cycle and the armed confrontations.
